FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions to Loxley Darts
I spend a lot of time answering emails and messages on social media and often the same questions pop up time and time again. So I'll try and answer a few of the most common here below.
All in one stem and flight systems
Do we have any plans to release an all in one flight and stem combo? Maybe. There are benefits and downsides to these all in ones and I personally don't use them however I can see why some people swear by them. If Loxley does them then they have to be perfect for me as I have to stand behind our products so I'm in the research stage at the moment and that's going to take some time.
Screw in points
We are not currently working on screw in points. Personally I use the Loxley Arrowhead points and I know a great many players who don't like screw in points. I have got darts sets from the 1980s and 90s still with their original points in that have never had a problem. The fact there isn't an industry standard for screw in points also puts me off entering what could just be a fad area.
Never say never... but for the moment no plans.
Custom darts or customised Loxley darts?
No we don't, what you see is what you get.
A production run for a single weight of a single design of darts costs thousands, for a darts brand we have to meet minimum order quantities for everything we do so it's just not feasible to make a dart available in too many weights. The same applies for coatings, paint, grip etc.
We suggest contacting Tony at Custom Made Darts in the UK. He's a great guy and a great company and Loxley has actually made use of his services for example when needing a quick prototype made for a player.
Charity
We are not accepting any new charity requests. We have supported a few charities already and we support a local special needs organisation where I also volunteer at their monthly Autism and Special Needs darts events.
Sponsoring dart players
I've already done a whole blog: All about dart player sponsorship.
